Are you laying out in the hot summer sun? The sun can quickly dehydrate you so it is so important to stay hydrated especially in the heat of the summer. Drinking water boosts your skin health, flushes body waste and can help you lose weight. Professionals say you should be drinking about 8 glasses of water a day, but what do you do if you don’t enjoy water? Flavored water is a great option and definitely helps me drink more water throughout the day. It also has great additive properties that can be a detox, help your immune system and skin.   One of the best things you can do is grab a large beverage dispenser and keep refilling your cup throughout the day. They have dispensers with diffusers so you can add your cucumbers, apples, mint, or whatever you would like right in there! You can find these at Home Goods, Macys, Kohls and also Amazon.


I love to use the Yeti “Rambler” 20 oz tumbler for refilling my water. Especially if I am out in the sun it keeps my drink nice and cold.


Here are some additives that also have other great health benefits that you can enjoy in the summer heat!  


Water Detox: For these recipes, try adding ingredients and place in the fridge overnight for better results. 


For clearer skin - water,  cucumber, lemon, mint

One of my favs is the lemon and mint water. It makes me feel like I am at the spa! Something I love to do in the summer is grow my own mint and lemons.
