I Tried the Drunk Elephant Shampoo and Conditioner... So You Don't Have To.

Updated: May 19, 2020

Whenever I see a Drunk Elephant product on Instagram or in a store I automatically want it. No matter what the product actually even is, the packaging is just so aesthetically pleasing. I could spend hours standing in front of the Drunk Elephant display at Sephora just looking at all their cool (and confusing) products. When I first saw that this brand was coming out with a hair care line, I was once again, instantly intrigued. I thought that if the skin products were amazing, the hair products should be too...right? When my package first arrived, I opened the box to find the shampoo spilt all over the bottom of the box. Thanks to the great customer service of Sephora, they sent me out a new one! I began using this Cocomino Glossing Shampoo and Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner. It smells like vanilla extract which smells amazing. I found that the shampoo does not really lather that well. I only use the conditioner on my ends and not on my scalp. After the first use, I didnt notice my hair looking smooth or silky. It honestly didn't even looked like I washed it. After about 2 weeks of use I kept noticing that my hair would get very tangled and I was constantly brushing out knots. I tend to have knotty hair but this was pretty abnormal. I then looked at the Sephora reviews and found that others were having the same knotting problem that I was. If my hair looked amazing and healthy and clean after use, I could continue to use it but unfortunately it did not. I wanted to love this product but it just did not work for my hair. Leave a comment down below if you have tried it and your experience with it!

Love always,

K
